自立の考察が僕なんかとは比べ物にならないぐらい深くて驚きました。
「関係性の自立」という言葉があるんですね。

「依存できる選択肢を増やす」
これは非常に納得できます。足が10本あったら2本ぐらいなくなったところで倒れることはないですもんね。

さて、僕の仕事は福祉施設で働くスタッフですのでそっちの視点になりますが、読んで頂ければ幸いです。
福祉の業界では自立の定義を、人権意識の高まりやノーマライゼーションの思想の普及を背景として、「自己決定に基づいて主体的な生活を営むこと」とされています。実はこの文章のルーツって自由論を引用した物らしいです。ルーツになった文章は
自己決定に基づいて主体的に生活をする事、その決定に対して責任を負うこと。だったと思います。自己決定は選択出来る自由をさします。社会的な常識として自由に責任が伴なうのは当たり前ですよね。あと、この文章が自立ならば、自立の前提は自由であるといえます。実はぐっきんさんの言う自立って、関係性の自立って言われてて、昔の哲学者が自由論で考察した内容だったりします。たとえば、下半身不随で車椅子生活をしている人がマンションに住んでいたとします。そのマンションで火事があり急いで逃げなければなりません。逃げるルートは3つ、西階段、東階段、エレベーター。当然歩けないその人の選択肢はエレベーターに限定されます。火事でエレベーターが止まっていたらどうなりますか？命が危険にさらされますよね。でもお隣さんが仲良しで屈強な男性なら、おんぶして降りてくれるかもしれません。もしくは避難用の滑り台等があれば健常者が準備をしてくれるかもしれません。このケースで考えられる回避しなければならない状況は逃げる手段をエレベーターに依存してしまうことだと考えられます。つまり、何を言いたいのかというと、社会的自立とは依存できる選択肢を増やす事なんです。健常者は一見依存していない様に思われがちですが実は自立している人ほど自身に足りない能力に対して依存先、選択肢を多く持っているのです。長々と書き連ねてしまいましたが興味があれば読んで下さい。
